Samsung launches a special series of foldable smartphones in China every year to support charitable causes. They also partnered with China Telecom to launch the Samsung W24 and W24 Flip this year.

Features of Samsung W24 and W24 Flip

It is worth noting that the Samsung W24 Flip and W24 Fold are actually China-exclusive luxury versions of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5. Therefore, they also share the same features. Both the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor for Galaxy.

In terms of aesthetics, the W24 features a premium gold frame and gray color scheme; W24 Flip, on the other hand, has a black-white color combination with a gold frame. Both models feature armored aluminum frames and UTG glass screens for greater durability. Additionally, the logo on the back of the device says “Heart of the World”.

The W24 has a 6.2-inch external display and a 7.6-inch internal display, both with a maximum brightness of 1750 nits and a high refresh rate of 120 Hz. The internal screen offers 2176 × 1812 pixels and the external screen offers 2316 × 904 pixels. Its sturdy construction includes Seiko’s ultra-closed hinges, and its camera setup includes a 10-megapixel front-facing lens, 4-megapixel under-display lens, 50-megapixel rear wide-angle lens, 10-megapixel telephoto lens. The device, which supports 3x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom with its 12 megapixel ultra wide-angle lens, provides long-lasting use with its 4400mAh battery and 25W wired charging.

The W24 Flip has a 6.7-inch internal display with a maximum brightness of 1750 nits, an adaptive high refresh rate of 1 Hz – 120 Hz, and a resolution of 2640 x 1080. Its external display is a compact 3.4 inches with a maximum brightness of 1600. nits, 60 Hz refresh rate frequency and 720 x 748 resolution. It includes a 10-megapixel front-facing lens and a main camera with a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and an ultra-wide-angle lens. Supports 10x digital zoom. . 3700mAh battery and 25W wired charging ensure reliable operation.

Price and availability

The Samsung W24 with 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage costs 15,999 yuan ($2,198). On the other hand, the price of W24 Flip with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage will be 9,999 yuan ($1,374). These smartphones will be available for pre-booking until September 21 and sales will start on September 22.
