On Friday, we noticed that stocks of some iPhone 15 models were starting to dwindle towards November after pre-orders started. Now analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has published a report on the first weekend of iPhone 15 pre-orders, noting that the iPhone 15 Pro Max has sold particularly well so far.

According to Kuo, the demand for the iPhone 15 Pro Max exceeds the demand for the iPhone 14 Pro Max in the same period last year. In other words, the waiting time for the iPhone 15 Pro Max is longer than other models, but this is not entirely due to high demand.

“The current supply of the iPhone 15 Pro Max is smaller due to the later mass production schedule, and the current production issues are more pronounced than with other models,” Kuo explains.

As for the rest of the iPhone 15 lineup, Kuo says demand for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus is “at the same level as last year.” Meanwhile, the demand for the iPhone 15 Pro is lower than that of the iPhone 14 Pro. Kuo attributes this to “more premium users switching to the iPhone 15 Pro Max” this year.

According to supply estimates on Apple’s website, the iPhone 15 Pro Max in Natural Titanium and White Titanium colors are the models facing the most delays, while delivery is expected to arrive in mid-November. The first pre-orders for the iPhone 15 will arrive soon, with first deliveries scheduled for September 22. We expect embargoed reviews to be published this week.
