Samsung has started releasing the latest security patch for the Galaxy A71 smartphone. For those who don’t know, Samsung Galaxy A71 was launched in December 2019. Even after nearly 4 years, the device is still receiving security updates. The smartphone was launched with Android 10 and was later upgraded to One UI 5 based on Android 13 in 2022.
The September security patch is now available globally and addresses more than 60 vulnerabilities identified in the previous update. The patch will be visible with the A715FXXU8CVI3 build version and will be around 485 MB in size. These security fixes will bring improved stability and bug fixes to the Galaxy A71. It is worth noting that the device has been running Android 13 for a while and may not receive the Android 14 update.
Galaxy A71 owners can check for a new update by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. Alternatively, users can go to Samsung’s original firmware database to download it manually.
