Morotola Edge 40 Neo was launched for EMEA markets last week. As planned, today the company announced the smartphone for India. The device is a toned down version of the Edge 40 from earlier this year. It comes with a less powerful chip and does not support wireless charging. However, it has a larger battery.

Technical specifications of Motorola Edge 40 Neo

Motorola Edge 40 Neo is built on a 6.55-inch curved pOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 144 Hz refresh rate. There’s a fingerprint sensor underneath this 10-bit panel and it supports peak brightness of up to 1300 nits as well as HDR10+ content.

The phone is equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 7030 chip coupled with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. It ships with Android 13 with two guaranteed OS updates and three years of security updates.

As for optics, a dual camera is installed on the back consisting of a 50 MP main sensor with optical image stabilization and a 13 MP ultra-wide sensor with autofocus. There is a 32-megapixel camera in the middle of the punch-hole on the front panel.

Unlike most other smartphones in this segment, the Edge 40 Neo has an IP68 dust and water rating, just like the Edge 40. It also has dual stereo speakers and supports Motorola Ready For. The 5G-enabled device has Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, GNSS, NFC and USB Type-C features. Finally, it has a 5,000mAh battery with 68W wired charging support.

Motorola Edge 40 Neo comes to India in two storage configurations at below prices.

• 8GB + 128GB – ₹23,999 (~$290)
• 12GB + 256GB – ₹25,999 (~$315)

However, for a limited time, the phone will be discounted by ₹3,000 on both models. Thus, the prices drop to Rs 20,999 and Rs 22,999. The phone is available at Black Beauty, Caneel Bay or Soothing Sea.
