OnePlus is expected to launch the OnePlus 12 flagship phone in China by the end of this year. There is a possibility that the brand will announce a new Ace branded phone called OnePlus Ace 3 in China in October or November, or alongside the OP12 in December. Earlier this month, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed the specifications of OnePlus’ upcoming flagship phone for the Chinese market. A post on Weibo today confirmed that the device in question will be called OnePlus Ace 3. He also reiterated some of the key features of the device.

OnePlus Ace 3 Key Features

According to the source, the OnePlus Ace 3 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, making it the third SD8G2 phone from OnePlus after the OnePlus 11 5G and the Ace 2 Pro for China.

The insider added that the Ace 3 will have a metal middle frame and a 5,500mAh battery that supports 100W charging. The rear camera will include a Sony IMX709 telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom.

According to the previous leak, Ace 3 will have a 6.74-inch OLED display with curved edges. It will have 1.5K resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and high-frequency dimming support. The rear camera setup will include a 50-megapixel Latest IMX890 primary camera, an 8-megapixel OmniVision OV8D10 ultra-wide lens and a 32-megapixel telephoto camera. While the RAM and storage configurations are still unknown, it could feature up to 16GB or 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB or 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

OnePlus Ace 3 is expected to be launched outside China as well, with India being the likely target. It will most likely be renamed as OnePlus 12R when sold outside China.
