Apple’s new generation iPhone 15 series is available in global markets. The high demand for the Pro model also causes delays in supply worldwide. However, the latest generation Pro phones are also marred by various problems. iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max face problems such as overheating, failure of durability test, and titanium discoloration. The Cupertino-based tech giant has now acknowledged one of the problems.
Apple acknowledged the discoloration issue on iPhone 15 Pro models
iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max come with a titanium case. Many users took to the internet to point out the discoloration and halo effect on the titanium frame of both devices. Apple has officially confirmed that caseless iPhone 15 Pro models can only temporarily change the color of the titanium frame. This is caused by sebum on the user’s skin.
The Cupertino-based technology giant has updated the “Cleaning Your iPhone” support document on its official website. It contains instructions for cleaning, disinfecting and maintaining the original appearance of the iPhone. Apple notes that “oil from your skin may temporarily change the color of the outer band.” The company recommends users wipe the frame with a soft, damp, lint-free cloth to restore the iPhone’s appearance. If the device comes into contact with anything that could cause staining or other damage, it should be cleaned immediately.
For those who don’t know, Apple sells a premium polishing cloth on its website. Now compatible with iPhone 15 series. The polishing cloth features a soft, non-abrasive material to eliminate discoloration. In addition, iPhone 15 Pro users are recommended to use a protective case against any discoloration problems, as the device will be regularly exposed to natural skin oils.
