It looks like the iPhone 15 Pro’s overheating issues could lead to more than just the fact that Apple will eventually reduce the frequency of the A17 Pro SoC. A description of the first case of battery swelling in Apple’s new products appeared on the network.

Reddit user Leather_Cheerio_402 posted the photo you can see above. He wrote that he unplugged the phone from charging on Monday and did not notice the swelling.

I put the cover on a few days ago and realized it didn’t fit. I was going to order a new case but then I realized the phone actually exploded.

Contacting the nearest Apple Store did not help: the smartphone was purchased from Verizon, so the Apple store recommended contacting the operator. But Apple stores usually accept the company’s equipment, regardless of where it was purchased (within the country, and sometimes not only). Verizon agreed to replace the smartphone.
