Honor is reportedly working on a new version of the X50 series called the X50 GT. According to Weibo expert Wangzai, this jack-of-all-trades smartphone will be available in two versions: one with a flat screen and the other with a curved screen. The leak suggests that the flat-screen version of the upcoming Honor X50 GT will be available for purchase online, while the curved-screen version will be available for purchase offline.

Honor X50 GT will take design cues from both Mate X3 and X50

Digital Chat Station first reported that the upcoming Honor X50 GT will combine the front design of the X50 with the rear design of the Mate X5. In all respects, Wangzai disagreed, saying that it is similar to the Huawei Mate X3 with a foldable screen. Digital Chat Station later updated the information and said that it was indeed similar to the Mate X3.

Now coming to the specifications, the upcoming Honor X50 GT is expected to retain some features of the original X50 model. Honor X50 has a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, 1200 nits brightness and 120 Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip and is available in configurations with up to 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. The camera system includes a 108 MP main sensor and an 8 MP front camera. Available in four colours, including Elegant Black and Burning Orange. The starting price of Honor X50 in China is 1,399 yuan ($194). However, the new model may also have other color options.

In comparison, the earlier Honor It was powered by a 4,800mAh battery with 66W fast charging.

Honor also plans to enter the online market with two smartphones named Honor X50 GT and Honor 100 GT. These phones will be released in the near future and aim to bring premium design to more consumers.
