ARCHAX can switch between “vehicle mode” and “robot mode”, offering versatility in application. Although ARCHAX is classified as a robot, it operates more like a machine and requires pilot control in its compact cockpit.
What can the robot do?
The pilot capsule, accessible by a small staircase, is surrounded by screens that provide a nearly 360-degree view of the robot’s nine onboard cameras. Basic operating data such as speed, fuselage roll angle, remaining battery power and other important parameters are displayed to assist the pilot in navigation and control.

INSIDE “operating modes” ARCHAX’s arm movements are controlled via a set of joysticks, and although the effectiveness of its dexterity remains to be seen, the potential is exciting. The robot’s movement is controlled by two pedals with a maximum speed of 10 km/h.
An innovative feature is ARCHAX’s “vehicle mode”. The transformation gives the impression that the robot is splitting, with the front wheels moving forward and the rear wheels moving backwards.
The pilot’s seat reclines 17 degrees to maintain an upright position throughout the process. After the transformation, the machine resembles a crouching figure with its arms folded.
