The Mydrivers website has published reviews from many iPhone 15 Pro users, as well as photos confirming that the screen burn-in issue has become widespread. Apart from the heating and speakers not working well, users are actively reporting that the iPhone 15 Pro screen may burn out after a few days of use.
As Mydrivers wrote, many iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max users are currently experiencing screen burn-in in China and other countries around the world. Interestingly, in some cases, this happens immediately after the screen is turned on.
There’s still hope that this isn’t a hardware bug in the iPhone 15 Pro’s display, meaning it’s not an actual burn-in but something that can be fixed with a software update.
Apple has traditionally declined to comment. The company stated that in the case of the iPhone 14 Pro, such smartphones experience no problems and can be used in normal mode.
Statistics show that as of October 6, the iOS 17 update was installed on 23% of devices 18 days after its release. By comparison, the install rate 18 days after iOS 16 was released was 29%. 12.13% of users are using iOS 17.0.2, 6.84% are using iOS 17.0.3, and 2% are using iOS 17. The other 45% are using iOS 16.6.1 and 16.7.
Judging by the reviews of many users, they do not want to update to iOS 17 because they are used to the fact that old smartphones may work slower and discharge faster after the update.
