In July, Samsung launched the Galaxy M34 5G smartphone in India. The device is aimed at the budget segment with a complex definition. Now, it appears that Samsung has started working on its successor, the Galaxy M44, and the first image of the device has been leaked.
The leaked image comes from tipster Anthony (@TheGalox_), which shows that the M44 shares the design language of the current Galaxy series smartphones. There are three camera notches on the back and LED flash on the side. The back appears to be made of plastic, while the sides may have a flat design. Since the smartphone has only passed NRRA certification, it looks like the device will be released first in South Korea, possibly under the name Samsung Galaxy Jump 3.
An earlier testing listing had revealed that the smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 chip. Although this is an older chip compared to the Exynos 1280, it outperforms the Exynos in almost every aspect. It will be interesting to see whether the global version of the smartphone will also receive this chip.
The previous model, the Galaxy M34 5G, featured a smooth 120Hz AMOLED display and an impressive 50MP main camera with OIS. In terms of performance, it has an Exynos 1280 chip paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage and a powerful 6,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. If Samsung decides to use this hardware for a future model, it would still be a significant upgrade, especially with the addition of the SD888. However, if the global versions come with SD888, we can expect a slight price increase.
