Recently, Google introduced Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, its new generation terminals for the highest range. One of the most anticipated (and best-selling) models of last year was the 7a, the mid-range version of the Pixel family. The renewal of this model is currently ongoing and, according to OnLeaks, the technical specifications will be very interesting.
Almost the same design as we see in its bigger siblings, the same processor as the Pixel 8 and the general balance that usually characterizes the A family is what we will find in the Pixel 8a according to leaks.
First change compared to Google Pixel 7a will be design. According to OnLeaks’ 3D renderings, this Pixel 8a will drink directly from its bigger siblings. Rounded corners, pastel color palette… Everything will remind us of Pixel 8. The frames will be slightly more prominent than expected and will feature a noticeable lower jaw.
Regarding size, Google would have made a change to the compression exercise. The diagonal of this phone will be 6.1 inches and its measurements will be as follows: 152.4×72.9×9.0mmIt is slightly smaller than last year’s model.
The processor will be the Tensor G3, a high-end processor that the Pixel 8 has, but it will be on par with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 from two generations ago. The listed version also has 8 GB of RAM, but it is also possible for the base version to start from 6 GB.
Featuring Tensor G3, this model is also expected to have seven years of updates. Thus, it will be the first mid-range mobile phone with more support than competitors’ high-end bets.
There is no news about the price of this phone. Started from 500 Euros last year. With the rise experienced by Pixel 8, we are likely to see this figure above.
