The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is the next generation of the company’s flagship smartphones, and although they are only a few months away, various leaks and rumors have already emerged. In the latest development, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has been spotted on Geekbench, giving us our first look at its performance.

The benchmark listing shows the US version of the Galaxy S24 Ultra (SM-S928U) with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The smartphone managed to score 2234 points in the single-core CPU test and 6807 points in the multi-core CPU test.

This is a significant improvement over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered Galaxy S23 Ultra, which scored 1,895 in the single-core CPU test and 5,062 in the multi-core CPU test.

The Geekbench listing also reveals some details about the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It looks like the SoC will have one Cortex-X4 CPU core clocked at 3.3 GHz, three Cortex-A720 CPU cores clocked at 3.15 GHz, and two A Cortex-A720 cores. The CPU is clocked at 2.96 GHz and the two Cortex-A520 CPU cores are clocked at 2.27 GHz. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is planned to be introduced at the Snapdragon Summit on October 24.

Previous rumors about the Galaxy S24 series suggested that the base S23 and S23+ models would be powered by the Exynos 2400 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC depending on the region, while the S24 Ultra would only use the Snapdragon platform globally.

The S24 Ultra is also said to have a titanium frame body, an improved 200 MP primary camera and a 50 MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. Images of the smartphone were also leaked; It shows a design similar to the previous model but slightly shorter and wider. It’s unclear when the Galaxy S24 Ultra will be officially announced, but it is expected to launch in early 2024.
