As the excitement around the highly anticipated Xiaomi 14 grows, a Chinese tech influencer accidentally shared and revealed the weight of Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship yesterday.

In a now-deleted Weibo post yesterday, Chinese tech influencer Chen Zhen shared two cryptic photos on Chinese social networking site Weibo showing the weight of an unannounced Android smartphone that will soon be launched in China. Based on the influencer’s post history, we can assume that this is allegedly one of the Xiaomi 14 devices, most likely the standard Xiaomi 14.

The influencer was also one of the culprits who leaked details 13 days before the launch of the Xiaomi flagship last year. Coming to the deleted Weibo post, it reveals that the upcoming device will be available in two weight options: 199.2g and 194.2g, allegedly implying that the device will be available with a PU leather back option and a ceramic glass back panel option, just like last year’s Xiaomi 13.

As shown above, the Xiaomi 14 is about 10 grams heavier than the Xiaomi 13. The increased premium could be due to the weight, larger camera sensor, larger battery, or the Leica Summilux lens added to the device. Or it could be all of the above and perhaps some additional features to add weight to the build.
