Xiaomi is expected to launch its fourth-generation foldable smartphone, tentatively called Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, in 2024. MIX Fold models released in the past were exclusive to the Chinese market. However, a new development suggests that Mix Fold 4 will be released globally.
According to the information obtained from the report GSMChinaA new Xiaomi device identified with model number 2405CPX3DC has appeared in the GSMA IMEI database. The letter “C” in the model number means that this is a version for the Chinese market.
Additionally, there is also a global version of this device, designated by the model number 2405CPX3DG with the letter “G” at the end. The IMEI database records for these models do not reveal their final marketing labels. However, the report suggests that these variants will likely correspond to the Chinese and global versions of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4. Therefore, it is advised to approach the report with caution and wait for further reports to verify its real name.
If the rumor turns out to be true, Mix Fold 4 will be Xiaomi’s first foldable phone to be released to the global market. The numbers “2405” in the model number are a good hint that the device could be released in May 2024. Let us remind you that Mix Fold 3 was introduced in August this year.
Mixed Fold 4 This isn’t the only foldable phone the company plans to launch in 2024. Recent reports claim that the company is also working on a flip-style foldable phone called Xiaomi Mix Flip. A recent report revealed that the model number of this device is 2311BPN23C. A previous leak in June also revealed that the device would be supported by a Snapdragon 8 series processor. It is unclear whether it will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 8 Gen 2 or 8+ Gen 1 chipset.
