According to the authors, the smartphone industry is now in the “six-inch era” – which means there are about six-inch screen devices on the market. Experts listed three reasons why small devices are selling less and less.

First of all, the “death” of phones with small screens is due to the inability of small devices to meet the needs of users. Gadgets are now used for browsing the web, videos, games, and this is not very suitable for devices with compact screens. Secondly, smartphones with small screens often have a compact body that cannot accommodate all the necessary components – a quality battery, modern camera, cooling system.

The last reason, according to journalists, is that modern consumers are not so interested in buying a small smartphone. “Relatively compact smartphones on the market at the moment have screens from 6 to 6.3 inches. For large screens, the sizes range from 6.7 to 6.9 inches, “said the experts. As an example, the authors cited the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 13 mini, which showed the weakest sales in the lineup of Apple phones.
