The official launch of the Xiaomi 14 series will take place on October 26 (Thursday). The company announced the launch date just yesterday and has been teasing the products ever since. Today the company showed the design of the vanilla model. He shared white images of the device. However, the company’s CEO revealed some interesting details about the design. It even showed off the camera function.

Xiaomi 14: Flat frame design and telephoto camera from Xiaomi 13 Pro

According to the images published by Xiaomi on Weibo, Xiaomi 14 has a flat frame. However, the frame appears to have contoured edges like the latest iPhone 15 models, making the phone more comfortable to hold. The front of the phone has a 6.36-inch centered punch-hole display with thin bezels around it. A new two-stage square island for three cameras and an LED flashlight appeared on the rear panel.

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun says that the top of the device is hole-free (like the iPhone). A team of engineers managed to achieve this by hiding the infrared sensor inside the camera, changing the design of the speaker opening into a micro housing, and hiding the auxiliary microphone inside the headset.

Additionally, according to the executive, Xiaomi 14 has the 75 mm floating telephoto camera of Xiaomi 13 Pro. This camera supports perspective with 3.2x optical zoom (perfect for portraits) and macro focusing from a distance of 10 cm.

According to sources, Xiaomi 14 will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, 12-bit 1.5K 120Hz OLED display, dual stereo speakers, IP68 rating, 4600mAh battery, 90W wired charging. , 50W wireless charging and 10W reversible wireless charging.
