Oppo has quietly launched an affordable smartphone called Oppo A2m in China. We heard about this device for the first time in September. It was listed on China Telecom’s website last week, revealing all its features. Today, the phone is finally official and available for sale.
Oppo A2m has a flat frame with volume buttons on the left side and power button on the right side. The back of the phone looks modern and high quality thanks to its texture. However, the front of the phone is completely upside down. Because it has a dewdrop notch display with thick bezels around it.
This 6.56-inch LCD screen offers 1612 x 720 pixels (HD +), 269 pixels per inch resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate. It is interesting that the peak brightness of the panel can reach 720 nits.
The device is based on MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chip along with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. On the software front, it launches ColorOS 13.1 based on Android 13.
The smartphone has only a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera. It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a MicroSD card slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a single speaker (over 85 decibels).
The product has a splash protection class according to the IP54 standard. Connectivity options include dual SIM, 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, GNSS and USB Type-C. The phone, which is 8.12 mm thick and weighs 185 grams, is supported by a 5000 mAh battery with standard 10W wired charging support.
