Honor announced its new flagship smartphone today, October 26, 2023, at the Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit 2023. The main feature of the Honor Magic 6 will be the function that allows you to interact with the device using your eyes.

Honor CEO George Zhao briefly showed how this technology will work in his speech. In the demonstration, a woman looks at her phone and a piece of the Uber app runs at the top of the screen, which opens completely when the viewing direction changes. Honor calls this technology Magic Capsule and describes it as “multi-modal interaction based on eye tracking.”

Honor Magic 6 will also have a virtual assistant on the device using Qualcomm’s artificial intelligence system.

The assistant can, for example, collect all videos on the smartphone that meet certain criteria, shorten them according to their other characteristics, and create a new clip with a short compression.

The device is powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Honor did not specify exactly when the Magic 6 would be available. However, Qualcomm says that phones with the new flagship platform will begin to be released in the coming weeks.
