We had recently reported that Samsung was planning to launch both 4G and 5G variants of the Galaxy A15 smartphone in Europe. The Galaxy A15 was expected to launch with an IPS LCD display like its predecessor, but a new report suggests that Samsung is planning to upgrade it.

TheElec stated that the upcoming Galaxy A15 will have an OLED display instead of the regular LCD. This is a notable change as the Galaxy A1 series phone, known for its affordable price, has an OLED display for the first time.

Previous reports stated that the phone will have a 6.4-inch screen that refreshes 90 times per second. When it comes to photography, the Galaxy A15 is said to have a 50-megapixel primary camera on the back. Information about the other two cameras is not yet known, but they are expected to have a wide-angle camera and a close-up camera. For selfies, the phone has a 13 MP front camera.

The phone is likely to come with Android 14 and Samsung One UI 6 pre-installed. Some reports indicate that Samsung may officially introduce the Galaxy A15 in the first half of 2024. The Galaxy A14 5G has Dimensity 700 SoC, so it will be interesting to see which SoC the brand will choose this time. Battery specifications will likely remain the same, so we may get a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
