Xiaomi is clear on how to achieve the high range. Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro are now official in ChinaTwo high-end phones that form the first benchmark of the standards expected for next year. They have released the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the brightest panels on the market, and most importantly, they come from the hands of Xiaomi’s new operating system, HyperOS.

These are all the features and specifications of the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro, two hardware-level beasts that mark the before and after in the course of the Chinese giant.

As previously leaked Xiaomi 14 little brother. We are talking about a phone with a 6.36 inch screen, 1.5K resolution (2670 x 1200 pixels, 460ppi). This panel, which is LTPO type and can operate between 1 and 120 Hz, offers tremendous performance. 3,000 nits maximum brightness. This is the first time this S8 CSOT panel from TCL has debuted on a phone, and it’s a big promise that seems to be above BOE and Samsung panels (for now).

At the design level, it’s pretty similar to what we saw last year: a large camera module on the back and a well-used front. The frames are not symmetrical, they are even thinner than the frames of the iPhone 15 Pro.

The phone has flat edges in the style of the iPhone 14 Pro, with a glass back and aluminum sides. It is very similar to last year’s model, but the curvature of the rear has been improved to make it even more ergonomic.

Its heart is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is the same processor as the Pro model. If we talk about one model, there is no difference in terms of raw power compared to the other. A large vapor chamber is responsible for cooling the device and promises performance bordering 60 FPS in the highest quality mode of ‘Genshin Impact’. The battery is 4,610 mAh and 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

If we talk about photography, we are faced with a triple camera configuration. Main sensor 50 megapixelsIt has an aperture of f/1.6. This is followed by a 3.2x Samsung JN1 (50 megapixel) telephoto lens and an ultra-wide-angle lens with the same sensor. Secondary sensors raise some doubts, as they have been in service for more than two years, but the collaboration with Leica and the new Summilux lens on the main camera (with OIS) is quite encouraging.

6.73 inch, 2K resolution (522 ppi) curved display. That’s how brutal the front of the Xiaomi 14 Pro is, with a TCL-signed C8 type panel that has a peak of 3,000 nits and the same as its little brother. However, the curvature has been reduced to prevent annoying ghosting and problems that arise when the phone is tilted.

The design is quite similar to the Xiaomi 14, with the sides covered in glass and metal. There is also a large vapor chamber inside to cool the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 that gives life to this phone.

Farewell to MIUI
