A few months ago, Republic of Gamers (ROG) announced the release of ROG Stix Scar 18 to the Colombian market. Now it is introducing two new laptops for demanding gamers from the ROG Strix series with 16- and 18-inch screens: ROG Strix G16 and G18. These laptops are now available for purchase in Colombia and are equipped with the latest 13th generation Intel processors, as well as powerful NVIDIA RTX 40 series graphics cards.
The updated 16- and 18-inch Strix laptops feature innovative smart cooling systems, including ROG Tri-Fan technology previously introduced in the 2022 Flow X16. ASUS has also improved the heatsink to make it larger and more efficient. This larger heatsink increases the heat dissipation surface area by an impressive 92.23% compared to last year’s models. Combined with new vents around the perimeter, it provides optimized airflow to the powerful internal components, ensuring exceptional performance at all times.
This 16-inch ROG Strix G16 model is equipped with an Intel Core i9-13900HX processor and an NVIDIA RTX 4070 graphics card with 12 GB of video memory. It is also accompanied by 16GB of DDR5 RAM and a 512GB PCIe® 4.0 NVMe™ M.2 SSD. This model is equipped with a 16-inch screen with a resolution of 1920×1200 in 16:10 format and a refresh rate of 165 Hz.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series laptop graphics cards take the world’s fastest laptops to the next level for gamers and creators. Powered by the ultra-efficient NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture, these cards enable the creation of realistic ray-traced virtual worlds and deliver quantum leaps in performance with AI-powered DLSS 3. Additionally, the Max-Q suite of technologies optimizes system performance, power, battery life and acoustics for maximum efficiency.
In terms of specifications, the laptop’s GeForce RTX 4080 GPU has 7,424 NVIDIA CUDA cores, while the GeForce RTX 4070 has 4,608 cores. As for the Boost frequency (MHz), for the 4080 it varies from 1350 to 2280 MHz, and for the 4070 from 1230 to 2175 MHz. In addition, the memory sizes differ: NVIDIA 4080 has 12 GB GDDR6, and NVIDIA 4070 8 GB GDDR6.
The NVIDIA Accelerated Platform for Windows AI is designed to deliver exceptional performance for Windows users and developers across a wide range of applications. This platform represents the culmination of more than a decade of research and development in artificial intelligence technologies. With RTX GPUs like the GeForce 40 series, these innovations can now be enjoyed on Windows PCs.}
At the heart of this revolution is matrix multiplication, the mathematical basis of modern artificial intelligence. NVIDIA RTX GPUs, equipped with Tensor Cores, are designed to accelerate these operations. In fact, modern GeForce RTX GPUs like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 can perform up to 1.3 trillion operations per second, making them the fastest AI accelerators on PCs. They also represent the world’s largest installed base of dedicated AI hardware, with over 100 million RTX PC GPUs worldwide.
This platform has contributed to the rapid growth of artificial intelligence adoption. Today, there are over 400 AI-enabled PC apps and games, all powered by NVIDIA RTX technology.
The growing capabilities of the NVIDIA AI platform have led to its use in a variety of use cases:
