Samsung is reportedly working on a new fitness tracker, the Samsung Galaxy Fit 3. Renderings appeared on the internet (via WindowsReport) of the upcoming device showing an updated design.

First look at Samsung Galaxy Fit 3

Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 now looks larger than the previous model with a larger screen capsule with a metal design. The strap no longer holds the capsule inside, and Samsung appears to be using non-removable straps instead.

There is also a button on the right edge of the device, but we do not yet know what it does. This could be a quick access button, a dedicated “Back” button, or something completely different. Leaked images show the Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 in rose gold with a light pink strap. However, we can expect Samsung to launch the device in other colors as well.

The report also suggests that Samsung may use the Android operating system on the Fit 3 instead of the rtOS-based operating system we saw on the previous generation Fit 2. This would be a big change as it would give the Fit 3 more features and capabilities. .

For health tracking, the Fit 3 appears to have an optical heart rate sensor on the back and Pogo pins for charging.

Other than that, we don’t have any other details about the Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 yet, but we can expect to learn more about the device in the coming weeks or months.
