Nubia is preparing to launch two Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phones in China. The Red Magic 9 Pro series will introduce the new chip later this week, while the Z60 Ultra is expected to be released in December. In a recent leak, Digital Chat Station revealed specific camera specifications and reiterated the expected launch date of the ZTE Z60 Ultra.

Nubia Z60 Ultra will have top-notch cameras

According to Digital Chat Station, the upcoming Nubia Z60 Ultra will have a front camera under the display and a 35mm camera. In particular, even the ultra-wide-angle camera has been upgraded to the highest configuration, and its sensor specifications are currently considered the greatest in the industry. It is also said to support optical image stabilization (OIS).

The information source added that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-based flagship will be introduced in December. In a new post on Weibo, the tipster shared the above image, which he shared in August. He said the prototype device shown on the right, which looks similar to the Z60 Ultra, has a very prominent notch.

In August, a tipster claimed that the device was equipped with a 1-inch Sony IMX989 35mm primary camera. However, the source claims that Nubia has not installed the 35mm IMX989 sensor on the Z60 Ultra yet. Therefore, it is not clear which primary camera will be on the device.

Detailed specifications of the Z60 Ultra have not been revealed yet, but a recent Geekbench listing revealed that the device will come with 12 GB RAM and Android 14. In terms of market positioning, it needs to compete with Xiaomi 14 Pro. , iQOO 12 Pro, Vivo X100 Pro, OnePlus 12, Realme GT 5 Pro, Meizu 21 series, Oppo Find X7 Pro and Honor Magic 6 Pro are in the Chinese market.
