OnePlus confirmed via Weibo email that the OnePlus 12 will be announced in China on December 4. 4 December. OP12 will be announced at the company’s 10th anniversary celebration. Although there is no confirmation yet, the brand is expected to announce OnePlus Ace 3 along with OP12 on that date.

For those who don’t know, OnePlus was founded on October 14, 2012. On June 16, 2021, Oppo announced its merger with OnePlus, with OnePlus continuing to operate as an independent brand under the Oppo umbrella. Here’s a look at what you can expect from the OnePlus 12.

OnePlus 12 features: what to expect?

Like the Xiaomi 14 series and iQOO 12 series, OnePlus 12 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The brand has already confirmed that the LYT-T808 main camera will form the basis of HyperTone camera optimization. According to reports, the main camera will be paired with a 48-megapixel IMX581 ultra-wide lens and a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscopic telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. For selfies, the device is expected to have a 32-megapixel front camera.

According to reports, OnePlus 12 will feature a 6.82-inch BOE X1 OLED display with 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to run on Android 14 based on ColorOS 14.

The top-end OnePlus 12 is expected to offer 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. It is likely to be powered by a 5,400mAh battery that can support 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.

OnePlus may also launch Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered OnePlus Ace 3 along with OnePlus 12 on December 4. Hopefully the company will issue an official confirmation in the next few days. According to reports, OnePlus 12 will hit the global market in January. There are speculations that Ace 3 will be renamed as OnePlus 12R in the global market.
