One of Apple’s leading figures is confident the company won’t be able to launch its Vision Pro headset on time

We will remind you that Apple assigns the output of the headset to: January 2024However, he did not name a specific day. Since the presentation in the summer, the company has been improving the product, developing software and testing the Vision Pro. But it seems he doesn’t have time to do everything without apologizing to customers.

When will the headset come out?

According to Mark Gurman, Vision Pro will be on sale “Sometime in March” first in the United States and the rest of the world, and even later in the same year in 2024. The company is currently preparing product distribution plans and conducting final testing of the device.

Apple is expected to sell the device only by pre-order and only at Apple Stores or on the internet via the official online store. The Vision Pro will not be available at third-party retailers as Apple wants to closely monitor the rollout of its all-new platform. Stores will have to stock hundreds of different related products, such as different sizes of bandages and prescription lenses.

Gurman notes that the company is doing absolutely everything it can to be ready for the January launch, but it’s still not on time. However, the latest beta version of VisionOS contains product-specific videos and materials, and such resources are often in preparation at the end of the software development cycle. The current beta version of iOS 17.2 also includes related Vision Pro features like AirPlay Receiver and the ability to capture spatial videos on the iPhone 15 Pro.

We can expect this, as the launch is allegedly planned for March, just like the Apple Watch launch. Apple will hold another event in the spring before the product launch. This will give Apple the opportunity to introduce the $3,499 headset to buyers and show off some new features that weren’t ready to be shown off at WWDC in June.
