This will seem incredible to many (especially Android smartphone owners), but since the iPhone, users have not had the option to change the notification ringtone. And now that day has finally come; The long-awaited feature is finally available on Apple smartphones.
And it all started when, in one of the recent updates, Apple replaced the usual default Tri-Tone sound with a new sound – Rebound. Users could not get used to this and began to actively criticize Apple.
Thus, iPhone owners will now be able to choose the sound to be used for all incoming notifications except text messages, mail notifications and calendar notifications, which already have customization options. This feature appeared in the iOS 17.2 beta 4 update.
You can change the ringtone from the new “Default Alerts” section that appears in the “Sounds & Haptics” menu in settings.
