Meet the Meizu 21 phone

Yesterday, Redmi introduced the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 flagship and today it is Meizu’s turn. The company introduced the Meizu 21 and it turned out to be not much more expensive than the Redmi K70.

The new flagship from Meizu turned out to be a rather compact model – the diagonal of the screen produced by Samsung was 6.55 inches. The thickness of the display frame is only 1.74 mm (all around). PWM control frequency was 1920 Hz. Under the screen is the latest generation ultrasonic fingerprint scanner that unlocks the smartphone in just 0.075 seconds.

A large SO with 37.345mm area is provided to cool the Snapdragon 8 Gen 32 However, Meizu does not specify the area of the evaporation chamber. The battery capacity is 4800 mAh and it supports wired charging with 80 W power. Not bad for a smartphone with a body thickness of 7.9 mm and a weight of 198 grams.

The cameras use only Samsung sensors. The front camera has a 32-megapixel Samsung S5KJD1, the main camera has a 200-megapixel Samsung S5KHP3 (c OIS), a 12-megapixel Samsung S5K3L6 (in a module with an ultra-wide-angle lens) and a 5-megapixel Samsung S5K. Yes, Meizu 21 is the only Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 flagship that does not even have a telephoto lens, let alone a periscope module. And all the zoom here comes at the expense of only cropping out 200-megapixel images.

Meizu 21 is available in three configurations: 8/256GB for $480, 12/256GB for $520, and 12/512GB for $565. Retail sales begin December 5. For comparison, the Redmi K70 Pro costs $460 and is the most affordable Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 model.
