Xiaomi’s new HyperOS update for the Redmi Note 12 4G model will be released soon. This was confirmed by GSMChina, which came up with a test build of HyperOS for the Redmi Note 12 4G/4G NFC model. According to the source, the internal HyperOS builds for the Redmi Note 12 4G/4G NFC model have firmware version OS1.0.1.0.UMTMIXM and OS1.0.1.0.UMGMIXM. Xiaomi Inc. added the update changelog to the internal test server.

This means that the new operating system update 1.0 for Redmi Note 12 models will be released soon. This will be the first major Android update for the smartphone since its launch and could make it the first Redmi device globally to receive the new operating system. As expected, HyperOS will be based on Android 14.

As a reminder, Note 12 4G is powered by the Snapdragon 685 processor and has a 6.67-inch Full HD OLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The screen has a maximum brightness of 1200 nits and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the front.

In terms of camera capabilities, the Redmi Note 12 4G has a 50MP primary camera, 8MP wide-angle camera, 2MP macro camera and 13MP selfie camera. The device is powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.
