It’s been years since HTC left the smartphone market. However, the brand continues to sell its phones in limited quantities in its native Taiwan and a few select markets. Earlier this year, the company launched the HTC U23 and HTC U23 Pro. Although they look like a pair of flagship smartphones, they are actually mid-range. A few months after their debut, the brand has released a new color option for the ‘Pro’ model.

In Taiwan, the HTC U23 Pro received a new color option, “Misty Red”. This version of the phone comes in a single 8GB + 256GB storage configuration and is priced at NT$15,490 ($490).

The new color launch offer is valid for a limited time from now until December 27th. Customers who purchase the phone during this period will receive a shock-resistant case and wireless charger free of charge. In terms of features, the HTC U23 Pro is nothing special except for some minor things like the IP rating and wireless charging. It has a standard set of specifications that can be found on most devices in this range.

The smartphone is equipped with a 6.7-inch centered OLED display with FHD+ resolution, perforation, 120 Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset and runs Android 13.

On the back of the phone, there is a quad camera system consisting of a 108MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide camera, 5MP macro camera and 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a 32-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

The device has protection class IP67 against dust and water. There’s even a MicroSD card slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB 3.0 port. Finally, the phone is backed by a 4600mAh battery with support for 30W wired charging, 15W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
