Samsung’s OneUI 6.1-based Android 14 rollout is impressive so far. A number of eligible devices, including not just premium flagships but also mid-range and budget offerings, quickly received the latest software update. Galaxy S21 FE is now receiving the Android 14 update, but this is only available for US region and carrier-locked phone models.
According to SamMobile, Android 14 based on OneUI 6.1 is rolling out to the Galaxy S21 FE only on the Verizon network in the US. Customers who own an unlocked model or another carrier-locked version of the device are not eligible for the Android 14 update, but users should not worry as a wider rollout is expected in the coming days.
For Verizon Galaxy S21 FE owners, the Android 14 update comes with firmware version G990USQU9FWK5 or G990U2SQU7FWK5. The latest update also includes November 2023 security fixes. Smartphone users can check for the Android 14 operating system update by going to Settings > Software update > Check for updates > Download and install if available.
With the Galaxy S21 FE now receiving the Android 14 update, the rollout of the Galaxy S21 series seems to be complete, at least in the US region. The S21 FE was announced with Android 12 and has now been updated to the latest version. The smartphone is still amenable to the better of the two Android OS updates.
