Oppo’s recently launched Reno 11 series in China may soon be available to global audiences. The stock Reno 11 5G has been spotted on the National Telecommunications and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) database in Thailand, indicating an imminent launch.
The smartphone was revealed with model number CPH2599 right after the NBTC approval of Reno 11 Pro 5G (model number CPH2607). Unfortunately, the certification does not reveal any additional details about the device’s features or functions.
However, the exact specifications of the global Reno 11 models remain unclear. While the Chinese versions feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset, a recent Geekbench listing for the global Reno 11 5G suggests that the smartphone may opt for the mid-range MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC.
So it is unclear whether the global Reno 11 will be the same as the Reno 11 in China or a shortened version. However, this difference is not surprising because last year’s Reno 10 also had different features between the global and Chinese versions. However, Pro models retained the same features in different regions.
To summarize the features of the Chinese Reno 11, it has a 6.7-inch OLED display with curved edges with a 120 Hz refresh rate and an impressive brightness of 950 nits. The screen also has a 32-megapixel selfie camera. On the back, there is a 50 MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor with optical image stabilization, an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32 MP IMX709 telephoto lens for 2x zoom shots.
Similarly, the device is powered by a 4,800mAh battery with 67W fast charging support, and the latest ColorOS 14 based on Android 14 takes care of the software side of things. While the official launch date of the global Reno 11 series remains unknown, we can expect the devices to arrive in the first quarter of 2024.
