Realme officially launched its flagship smartphone Realme GT5 Pro today. It immediately became one of the most affordable flagships of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. For example, if the price of Xiaomi 14 starts at $545, the first buyers of Realme GT5 Pro will cost $465. So, although the price is at the level of Redmi K70 Pro, the Realme flagship is superior to the Redmi flagship in many aspects.

The Relame GT5 Pro does not have a 2K display, but its 1.5K OLED panel is said to be best in class. Mostly because the maximum brightness reaches 4500 cd/m2. (“Global” brightness – 1600 cd/m2) and the frame rate is 144 Hz. The diagonal of the screen is 6.78 inches, the PWM adjustment frequency is 2160 Hz.

Some manufacturers have started using titanium frames on their flagships; It is stronger and lighter than metal. But Relame GT5 Pro received an ultra-strong aluminum frame, which, according to the creators, is stronger than titanium. And the smartphone has a huge evaporation chamber with an area of ​​​​12,000 mm2, before that the record belonged to OnePlus 12 with a little more than 9,000 mm2. The hardware platform SoC is based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

Before the premiere of GT5 Pro, Realme actively talked about the smartphone camera and, primarily, the periscope module with the completely new (for such a module) Sony IMX890 sensor. This is one of the best quality sensors when it comes to periscope cameras. Its resolution is 50 MP. The creators talk about 3x optical zoom and 6x zoom without loss of quality.

The main sensor is also one of the best – 50 megapixel Sony LYT-808. However, it is strange to see the old 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 sensor in the module where the ultra-wide-angle lens is located. The front camera has a 32 megapixel Sony IMX615 sensor.

In terms of the power subsystem, everything is exactly the same as in the OnePlus 12: 5400 mAh capacity battery, 100 W wired charging support and 50 W wireless power. Realme GT5 Pro runs Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14; the creators promise three major Android updates and four years of security updates.
