Motorola is releasing special editions of the Motorola razr and Motorola Edge, the first smartphones to feature Pantone’s 2024 Color of the Year.

The Motorola razr 40 ultra and Motorola Edge 40 Neo will be available in PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz. This launch marks the second year of exclusive collaboration between both brands and aims to connect with consumers in the wellness space.

Motorola and Pantone, the global authority on color, have teamed up for the second year in a row to create devices that have been named Pantone Color of the Year. Pantone’s 2024 Color of the Year, PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz, celebrates the importance of human connection as well as the devices chosen to represent it: the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra and Motorola Edge 40 Neo.

The Pantone Color of the Year, announced by the Pantone Color Institute, is an educational program that reflects the symbolic nature of color. This year marks the 25th anniversary of Pantone’s Color of the Year program and the color selected is PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz. PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz has a soft, velvety peach hue and a warm, smooth scent that embodies feelings of togetherness, community and collaboration.

“As technology intertwines with humanity, we believe color will become a tool for self-expression and a deeper, more meaningful experience with our devices. This means going beyond devices as well as software, and that’s what Pantone’s 2024 Color of the Year does as it combines the virtual world we live in with our desire to achieve well-being and deeper connections.” says Ruben Castaño, Global Head of Design and Customer Experience (CX) at Motorola.

The selection of PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz complements Motorola’s mission to make technology more accessible and help consumers use it to accomplish what matters. When selecting devices with PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz, Motorola considered the color’s message and its emphasis on the power of human connection and found that the Motorola razr 40 Ultra and Motorola Edge 40 Neo met this criterion perfectly.

Available worldwide, the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is designed to connect and collaborate, allowing people to stand out from the crowd with its iconic foldable design. The Motorola Edge 40 Neo, on the other hand, is a device that puts color at the center of its design. And PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz, made from vegan leather, complements the device’s warm, contoured design to stimulate the senses and spark the imagination.

Both devices are designed with connectivity and personality in mind and offer features designed to help people interact more deeply with their smartphones, including Motorola’s latest software solutions, Moto Unplugged and Family Space. Both apps strike a balance between connection and relaxation, safety and courage. Moto Unplugged focuses on the importance of taking mindful breaks from your device to connect more with yourself and those around you, while Family Space encourages families to explore technology with fun and grace.

“It’s been great to work with Motorola and see their commitment to promoting creativity, connection and personalization through color on their devices, and color is especially important this year to harness connection, community and personal well-being.” – commented Laurie Pressman, vice president of the Pantone Color Institute. “Our 2024 Pantone Color of the Year, PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz, seamlessly blends virtual and real life, making it the perfect color for the look of digital devices. “We’re thrilled to see how our audiences use the resources Motorola offers to enable and facilitate new connections,” added the executive director.

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra and Motorola Edge 40 Neo in Pantone’s Color of the Year 2024 will be available in select markets around the world.
