Xiaomi’s latest flagship, the 14 Pro, may miss the global launch. The news comes just weeks after the 14 and 14 Pro launched in China, and while the standard 14 is still expected in global markets in January, the Pro’s future looks uncertain.
This tip comes from Xiaomi’s software improvements spotted by the brilliant folks at Xiaomiui. The report states that Xiaomi is actively working on the global version of the new HyperOS for Xiaomi 14, but there is no such activity for the Pro model. The last internal test build for HyperOS 14 dates back two months ago, suggesting the Pro could be cold.
It’s important to note that this is based on software development only and things may change when Xiaomi officially announces the Series 14 worldwide next year. There are also rumors that Xiaomi may focus on a new “Ultra” model that will sit alongside the 14 instead of Pro. But for now, take this with a grain of salt.
Standard 14 still has an impact. It has a large 6.36-inch OLED display with vibrant colors, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and incredible brightness of up to 3000 nits. The phone is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage for all your needs.
On the back, there is a triple camera setup consisting of a 50 MP primary sensor with image stabilization, a 50 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50 MP telephoto lens for zooming in on distant objects. The main camera’s aperture is also automatically adjusted from f/1.6 to f/2.2 for perfect illumination in any situation. On the front, there is a 32-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
While the 4,610mAh battery provides long-lasting charging, the phone also supports fast charging options: 90W wired, 50W wireless and even 10W reversible wireless charging.
