Samsung started rolling out the OneUI 6.1-based Android 14 update to its relevant devices about two months ago. The latest version of the software has been released for many devices in the company’s Galaxy S, A and M series portfolio. However, this feature was only available on the fifth-generation foldable Galaxy Z. The OneUI 6.1 update is now rolling out to older generation Samsung folding offerings.
Older Galaxy Z Foldables now getting OneUI 6.1 update
Samsung is starting to roll out OneUI 6.1-based Android 14 to the last two generations of Galaxy Z foldable phones, such as the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Z Flip 3. For US owners of the above devices. It will be available soon with unlocked devices on Verizon, T-Mobile, and MetroPCS.
The OneUI 6.1 based Android 14 firmware release for Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 has model number F936USQU3EWL1 and F721USQU3EWL1 respectively. On the other hand, Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 have firmware versions F926USQU4HWL1 and F711USQU5HWL1C respectively.
Android 14 with OneUI 6.1 skin is a major upgrade. Users are recommended to download via Wi-Fi. It is worth noting that the latest software version update is currently hosted in the US and is happening gradually.
