Honor is expected to launch the Honor Magic 6 series in China in January. According to a leak from Digital Chat Station, two photography-focused flagship phones are expected to be announced in the domestic market around January 8 and 10. This led to speculation that both the Oppo Find X7 series and the Honor Magic 6 series could be released during this period. However, a recent update suggests that the Magic 6 series could potentially be unveiled on January 11.
Reports claim that the upcoming Magic 6 series will include various models, including the Honor Magic 6 Porsche Design. The above screenshot shared on Weibo shows that the pre-sale period for the Honor and Porsche Design flagships will end on January 11. The screenshot appears to be from a retail site in China, but no official announcement has been made. With all this during the pre-sale period of the Magic 6 series, the listing shows that the Magic 6 series will be announced on January 11 in the Chinese market.
The Honor Magic 6 series is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It is estimated that the Honor Magic 6 Pro, the top model of the series, will support bi-directional satellite connection.
One of the highlights of the Magic 6 series is that it is expected to have a one-inch 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50K main camera. This will allow it to compete with models like the Oppo Find X7 Ultra, Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Vivo X100 Pro+, which are expected to have a one-inch 50-megapixel Sony Lyt-900 primary camera. If the Magic 6 series does indeed launch on January 11, the company may release an official confirmation this week or next.
