Meanwhile, OnePlus 9RT, along with OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro, are receiving the ColorOS 14 update based on Android 14. in China.
The new update includes all the new features of Android 14, as well as new additions in the OnePlus ColorOS 14 shell. Featuring matching animations and ringtones, as well as other performance and security improvements, the new Aquamorphic design is designed to improve the user experience.
OnePlus 9 is receiving firmware update 14.0.0.201, while OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9RT are receiving firmware update 14.0.0.211. It is available to both regular and beta users in China. Users should back up important personal data before updating as the new build may affect data on their smartphones. Additionally, some third-party applications may not work efficiently and lead to strange user experiences.
OnePlus also recommends users give their smartphones at least a few days to auto-optimize on the new system. By then it may overheat, causing the battery to over-discharge. Also, leave at least 60% battery and up to 15 GB of memory before installing the update.
