Vivo is reportedly working on Vivo X Fold 3 series foldable phones for the Chinese market. The series is expected to include Vivo X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro with model numbers V2303A and V2337A respectively. A new leak courtesy of trusted tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed details of what appears to be the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro.

Key features of Vivo X Fold 3 Pro

In the latest leak, the source claimed that the internal display of the upcoming LTPO foldable phone will support 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The company seems to have reduced the thickness and weight of the device compared to the X Fold 2. The weight of the device is expected to be significantly less than 250 grams, as the previous model weighed around 279 grams.

The external and internal displays will feature an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner built into the screen. Only Vivo is known to offer ultrasonic fingerprint sensors on its foldable phones, which suggests that the leaker may be talking about the X Fold 3 series. Although the leaker did not mention the battery size of the device, he did reveal that the device will support 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

The device’s camera setup will feature three cameras, including a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization, a periscope telephoto camera, and possibly an ultra-wide-angle camera. There is a possibility that it will be equipped with Sony LYT-900 camera sensor as the main lens.

In an earlier leak, the leaker had hinted that the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro will have Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, so the leaker might be talking about the Pro variant in this leak. The speaker also said that the foldable phone will be released along with the Dimensity 9300 supported Vivo Pad 3. According to reports, these devices may hit the market in the first quarter of 2024.

It is not clear how the Vivo X Fold 3 differs from the Pro version. For this reason, it is recommended to wait for additional reports to better understand the features that distinguish the two versions.
