Asus has already confirmed that it will launch the ROG Phone 8 series along with some other devices at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024 on January 8, 2024. The series is expected to include at least two models such as the ROG Phone 8. and ROG Phone 8 Pro. Yesterday, the NBTC certification platform in Thailand certified the ROG Phone 8 Pro. Now the standard phone ROG Phone 8 has appeared on the NBTC database even before the official announcement.

The NBTC listing reveals that the ASUS device with model number ASUS_AI2401_C will be called ROG Phone 8 when launched in Thailand. The same model number was previously spotted in a Bluetooth SIG certification. A recent report has leaked almost all the details about the ROG Phone 8. Asus ROG Phone 8 specifications

ROG Phone 8 will have a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with FHD + resolution and 165 Hz refresh rate. It will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, 12 GB LPDDR5x RAM and 256 GB UFS 4.0 storage. The device is expected to run on Android 14 and ROG UI.

There is no information about the front and rear cameras of ROG Phone 8. It is expected to be powered by a 5,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging.

The gaming phone is also expected to have other features like in-display fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm audio jack, 5-magnet speaker system, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, RBG backlit logo, as well as Gorilla Glass screen protection Victus. 2. It will also have an IP68 rated casing.
