OnePlus plans to launch its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered sub-flagship phone OnePlus Ace 3 in China tomorrow. The company constantly releases the key specifications of the device before the launch. Posted several posters today to confirm battery capacity.
OnePlus Ace 3 battery size confirmed
Ace 3 will be the world’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phone with a 5500mAh battery. The battery has a four-year lifespan and is optimized for long-term use. The inclusion of the SuperVOOC S power management chip promotes efficient use of energy, achieving an industry-best discharge efficiency of 99.5 percent.
Notable battery performance figures for the Ace 3 include 17.4 hours of video playback, 15.7 hours of Douyin short videos, and 8.7 hours of Honor of Kings gameplay without needing to recharge. The brand also confirmed that the Ace 3 will support 100W fast charging. However, there will be no wireless charging support.
As for other specifications, the OnePlus Ace 3 will feature a 6.78-inch OLED panel from BOE offering 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It will have a 16-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel (Sony IMX890, OIS) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera setup. It is expected to come in three variants such as 12GB+256GB, 16GB+256GB, and 16GB+1TB, and its price may start from 3,299 yuan ($465). It will be available in three colors such as Star Black, Moon Sea and Sand Gold.
OnePlus Ace 3 will be renamed as OnePlus 12R for markets such as India, Europe and North America. The 12R is expected to be officially unveiled alongside the OnePlus 12 during a global launch event on January 23.
