ASUS is preparing to launch the ROG Phone 8 series on January 8. The model range is expected to consist of standard and professional versions. The Taiwanese brand offered an official look at the rear panel design of the upcoming product and also released some important details. Now, ahead of the launch, ROG Phone 8 Pro has been revealed with new leaked high-resolution images.

The ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro has a square design from the start, with power and volume buttons on the right edge. An additional USB-C port is located on the left side of the frame. The front panel of the ROG Phone 8 Pro has a center-aligned punch-hole cutout. The screen is surrounded by very narrow bezels on all sides, which will provide an immersive experience.

ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro will have the same protruding square camera island cut from the right edge. It houses three camera sensors and includes text confirming 8K ultra HD video recording. According to the leaked images, the Pro model is expected to have a different backlight for the ROG logo compared to the standard version. The ROG logo on the device consists of dots that can be programmed using special LED dots.

The bottom of the ROG Phone 8 Pro houses the USB-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, speaker grille, and SIM card tray.

ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro has already been confirmed to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and will have IP68 dust and water resistance certification. The upcoming offering is also expected to feature up to 10x telephoto. It is also said to ship with a gimbal stabilizer for smooth video shooting.
