CES 2024: ASUS unveils updated ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 gaming laptops

G14 and G16 laptops are equipped with OLED panels with an aspect ratio of 16:10. The G14 is available in a 14-inch version with a resolution of 2880×1800 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz or 2560×1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 240 Hz. On the other hand, the larger G16 model has a 16-inch panel with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 240 Hz.
Key improvements include larger trackpads, improved keyboard layouts, an updated fast charging port, and a six-speaker audio system.
The G14 is equipped with AMD Ryzen 8040 series processors, while the G16 is equipped with Intel Core Ultra (Meteor Lake) processors. Both models support up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM and feature a customizable white backlight strip on the top cover.
Maintaining last year’s graphics features, the G14 supports configurations up to GeForce RTX 4070, while the G16 offers options with GeForce RTX 4090. Both models support DLSS 3.5 technology and frame rendering.

In terms of size and weight, the G14 maintains its compact design with a thickness of 1.59 cm and weighs only 1.5 kg. The larger G16 model is 1.64cm thick and weighs 1.95kg when configured with RTX 4080 and RTX 4090 graphics.
G14’s interfaces include USB 4, USB 3.2 Gen 2 (Type-C), USB 3.2 Gen 2 (Type-A), HDMI 2.1, 3.5 mm headphone jack and microSD card slot. The G16 has a similar set of interfaces, with the addition of Thunderbolt 4, USB Type-C with Power Delivery support, and a full-size SD card slot.
Additionally, ASUS presented updated ROG Strix and Strix Scar laptops with a diagonal of 16 and 18 inches, equipped with 14th generation Intel Core processors, QHD resolution and 240 Hz refresh rate.

Strix and Strix Scar models equipped with GeForce RTX 4080 and RTX 4090 graphics processors will be available from January, and the price of Strix Scar will start from $ 2,900 for the 16-inch version and $ 3,000 for the 18-inch version. model. The price of Strix laptops has not been announced.
