Xiaomi became the first OEM to launch a smartphone on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile platform. These devices were Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro. Later, they were followed by Redmi K70 Pro. The next phone of the Xiaomi group with the chip in question is expected to be Xiaomi 14 Ultra. But it looks like the company has other plans, as a mysterious phone featuring this SoC has surfaced on Geekbench.
The codename of this unknown Xiaomi smartphone is Suiren. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset underneath is paired with 16GB of RAM and runs Android 14. The phone scores 2336 and 6837 points in single-core and multi-core tests respectively. That’s all the information we have about this product.
Based on Xiaomi’s smartphone lineup, we believe this could be the new Mix phone. The last model of the series is Mix 4, which was released in 2021. It’s been almost three years, so we’re not sure if it’ll be called Mix 5 or something else. However, there will most likely be a camera under the screen. Because this is the purpose of the Mix series.
We look forward to learning more about Xiaomi Suiren in the coming days. It should be available on the websites of the certification bodies. At the same time, reliable information sources such as Digital Chat Station can also reveal details.
Mix 4 has a 10-bit 6.67-inch OLED display. The panel offers 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD +) resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision support. There is a 20 MP selfie camera underneath.
The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus chip. The SoC is paired with LPDDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
There is a triple camera system on the back. The setup includes a 108-megapixel main sensor with OIS support, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide unit and an 8-megapixel camera with 5x periscopic zoom. The phone is equipped with dual stereo speakers and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Finally, it is backed by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
