Huawei has returned to the Chinese smartphone market with the launch of the Mate 60 series. The company’s latest flagship phones offer 5G connectivity thanks to its native 7nm HiSilicon Kirin 9000S chips. The phones are so popular that rival Meizu once announced cases for them.
Meizu Pandaer brand is known for its wide range of accessories. The company offered three cases for the Huawei Mate 60 Pro and Huawei Mate 60 Pro Plus. All three events mark the “Year of the Dragon”. One of them is more premium than the other two as it comes with a gift box.
The “Limited Art in the Cloud·For Now” case costs 199 yen (~$30). Made from TPU, PET and magnet. Comes in a gift box containing 3D tablet cards and other accessories.
The other two cases are called “Xuanlin” and “Yulong”. They’re made from the same materials, too, but since they don’t come in a gift box with extra contents, they only cost ¥119 (~$15). These cases will be available for purchase starting tomorrow (January 12).
The Mate 60 Pro is built around a 6.82-inch 10-bit curved LTPO OLED display. The panel has a resolution of 2720 x 1270 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate and Kunlun Glass 2 protection. It is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 9000S SoC. As for software, it launches HarmonyOS 4.
On the back of the device, there is a triple camera system consisting of a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide unit and a 48MP periscopic telephoto with 3.5x zoom. On the front, there is a 13-megapixel selfie camera and a ToF 3D sensor for facial recognition.
Other features include dual stereo speakers, in-display fingerprint sensor, USB 3.1, 5G, satellite messaging and calling, and nano memory card slot. Finally, the smartphone has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 88W wired, 50W wireless and 20W reversible wireless charging standards.
