Xiaomi’s sister company is starting the year in style with the new POCO X6, POCO X6 Pro and POCO M6 Pro, three terminals that aim to conquer the mid-range podium based on the quality/price ratio.
The model that interests us in this text is POCO M6 Pro, is the cheapest of the series and a strong candidate to be one of the mobile phones to be recommended between 200 and 250 Euros. A terminal with a rather interesting technical page, which we will learn about below.

Poco M6 Pro.
POCO M6 Pro is a mobile phone that quite reminds us of other terminals of the company, such as the Redmi Note 13, which was introduced in China a few months ago. It is a device with . Pretty rectangular covering and very distinct lines on the back, divided into two surfaces, one glossy and the other more matte, and a camera that cannot be missed even without the module.
The device will be available in black, lilac and blue color options and will weigh 170 grams. Its thickness is only 7.98 millimeters, which is not bad at all, even a POCO one headphone jack (an endangered species) and an infrared sensor (very useful on a daily basis).
When it comes to the display, the device is a 6.67 inch AMOLED panel with FullHD resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. This is not an LTPO panel and the company has not announced update intervals. What we do know is that its touch sampling is quite high and it is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. It goes without saying that the camera is hidden in a small hole at the top and the fingerprint reader is located under the panel.
Poco M6 Pro.
If we look under the hood, we will see that the POCO M6 Pro is responsible for the launch of the new model. MediaTek Helio G99-Ultra. This SoC is manufactured by TSMC on a six-nanometer process and has eight cores with a maximum speed of 2.2 GHz. Its GPU is Mali-G57 MC2. It’s a package that can deliver “strong performance with smooth frame rates,” according to Xiaomi. We will have to wait for the analysis to clear the doubts.
It comes with a MediaTek processor, eight or 12GB of RAM (expandable with virtual RAM) and 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. These are really high numbers, but let us also point out that the RAM is LPDDR4x and the memory is UFS 2.2. They are not the fastest technologies on the market. But it should be more than enough for daily use.

On the technical page, Xiaomi states that the device comes “powered by HyperOS”, but in the fine print it is stated that the device will be available via OTA as soon as possible.
