OnePlus Open gets OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 2

Exactly a month after OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1, OnePlus Open is getting Open Beta 2, which includes some major changes and bug fixes. Members are already receiving the OTA update on their eligible OnePlus Open smartphones. Interested users can also participate in the OxygenOS 14 2 open beta program, which brings interesting optimizations and fixes.

The update is currently only available for OnePlus Open India variants and may take some time to roll out to other regions. Like the previous version, Open Beta 2 also carries some risks as it contains some bugs that may affect the overall user experience. Therefore, it is always recommended to use only official stable builds if the user wants a stable and seamless experience.

OnePlus Open Open Beta 2 brings exciting new changes and fixes that improve the user experience. Below is the official changelog for the latest update:

  • Integrated the January 2024 Android security patch to improve system security.
  • It improves the touch control experience.
  • Addresses an issue where you cannot use FlexForm mode.
  • Fixes an issue where some apps on the Home screen taskbar may not respond to your touches.
  • Fixes a blurring issue that may occur when tapping and holding an app on the home screen.
  • Addresses a display issue that may affect the clock widget on the lock screen when you switch from the home screen to the cover screen.

It is recommended to leave at least 4 GB of free memory and up to 30% battery charge before updating. Before updating the smartphone, firmware CPH2551_13.2.0.203 (EX01) or CPH2551_13.2.0.301 (EX01) must be installed.

Steps to get OnePlus Open Beta 2

The user needs to follow the above conditions and then go to the smartphone settings to apply the latest update:

  1. Check the firmware version as above and then check for updates.
  2. Go Go to Settings > About device > tap Update > tap the icon in the top right corner > tap app beta > follow the instructions to apply.
  3. It may take 3-5 days for the update to appear.
  4. Then check for an update by going to: Settings > About Device > Download Now.

The company regularly releases updates for the smartphone, as well as OxygenOS 14 update programs. It has already received the December 2023 security patch and is now waiting for the January 2024 security patch for normal builds. We hope the latest patch comes with stable OxygenOS 14 for the device.
