According to the developers, the new chair is designed to eliminate the discomfort that occurs when people with disabilities cannot interact with others of the same height level. It allows a person to assume a vertical position in just a few seconds.

This design can also be used in a traditional sitting position. A scissor-type drive mechanism is activated, which, if necessary, raises the seat and tilts it slightly forward. As a result, the person rises so high that his eyes are at the level of the eyes of the people around him. Strong hip belts are used to stabilize the body.

The entire device is controlled “by intuitive movements of the upper body, leaving the user’s hands free.”

• The chair can move at speeds of up to 20 kilometers per hour.
