HMD Global has owned the Nokia brand for its smartphones since 2016, and their contracts expire in 2025. It has been reported that there have been significant changes in the company recently. It was previously known that HMD Global would launch devices under its own brand. Now, the company’s first phone has appeared in leaked images, giving us a good look at the design and what we can expect.

HMD Global’s flagship phone appears in a leaked image

According to the leaked image, HMD Global looks like an affordable smartphone. It has a basic design language with a rectangular camera module on the back. It has two sensors and an LED flash. There is also the HMD brand in the middle of the back. The device appears to have a slightly flat frame; While there are power and volume buttons on the right edge, the SIM tray is located on the left.

On the front, the HMD Global branded phone has a perforated screen in the middle. The leaked render shows it in black with a matte finish. No further details about the smartphone were revealed in the report.

Last November, two HMD Global phones with model numbers N159V and TA-1585 were detected in the IMEI database. One of these may be the device seen in the leaked image. However, their basic properties are still a mystery. As reported earlier, HMD plans to launch phones under its own brand in India in early April. We can expect more details to emerge in the coming months.
