Following the success of the P60 series, Huawei is now focusing on the development of the highly anticipated P70 series. According to an analysis by Digital Chat Station, Huawei, known for pushing the boundaries of smartphone innovation, aims to maintain this reputation with the P70 series.
Rumored Huawei P70 features
According to DCS, the Huawei P70 series is said to offer a quad-curved micro display with 1.5K resolution, approximately 6.7 inches deep. This advanced display is designed for comfortable grip and improved image quality.
Its quad-curved design and minimal bezels promise an engaging and vibrant display with accurate colors and responsive touch sensitivity. According to a previous leak, this series will be used in domestic OLED displays from Chinese manufacturers such as BOE, COST, Visionox and Tianma.
There are also significant improvements in the camera system of the Huawei P70 series. A significant upgrade over previous models, the Omnivision OV50H is expected to feature variable physical aperture. The company was initially reported to be testing Sony IMX989 and OV50H.
Released in January 2023, the Omnivision OV50H sensor has a high resolution of 50 MP and is aimed at premium models. With a 1/1.3-inch optical format and 1.2-micron pixel size, it increases light absorption to take great low-light photos. The sensor supports multiple HDR modes, high frame rates, and advanced features such as 8K video recording and 4K video with electronic image stabilization.
The Huawei P70 series is said to increase its appeal with its unique rear camera design with three lenses arranged in a triangle shape. The device also features Huawei’s trademark XMAGE, signifying its focus on high-quality imaging.
In addition to these camera improvements, the series is expected to include a high-density 5,000 mAh battery as well as a dual stereo speaker and receiver. According to previous leaks, the base model is expected to run on the Kirin 9000S chip. According to rumors, the release date is late March or early April 2024.
